Boeser Nets Hat Trick, Silovs Shines in Net

The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Nashville Predators 4-3 in overtime on Sunday in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Canucks now lead the best-of-seven series 3-1 and will have a chance to advance Tuesday when they host the Predators in Game 5. Brock Boeser led the way for the Canucks with a hat trick, while Elias Lindholm scored the overtime winner. Arturs Silovs made 27 saves in net for the Canucks. Filip Forsberg and Anthony Beauvillier each had a goal and an assist for the Predators. Casey DeSmith made 26 saves in net. The Canucks controlled the play for much of the game, outshooting the Predators 39-29. They also had a 5-2 advantage in power plays. Boeser gave the Canucks an early lead with a power-play goal at 8:57 of the first period. He made it 2-0 with another power-play goal at 14:24 of the second period. The Predators cut the lead to 2-1 when Forsberg scored a power-play goal at 18:59 of the second period. Beauvillier tied the game at 2-2 with a goal at 12:34 of the third period. Boeser gave the Canucks the lead back with his third goal of the game at 16:27 of the third period. The Predators tied the game again when Forsberg scored his second goal of the game at 19:09 of the third period. Lindholm won the game for the Canucks with a goal at 4:17 of overtime. The Canucks will look to close out the series Tuesday when they host the Predators in Game 5.
